Remodel Wiring

Wiring decisions made during a remodel are the ones you live with for decades. We plan circuits and device placement before the walls close.

Planning comes first

Before any cable is pulled we walk the space with you: where the appliances land, how the room will actually be used, which surfaces need task lighting, and where switches should fall as you enter. Getting the layout right on paper is far cheaper than moving a device after drywall and tile.

Kitchens and baths carry the most requirements — dedicated appliance circuits, counter receptacle spacing, and protective devices in wet areas. Additions raise a separate question: whether the existing service and panel can carry the new load, or whether capacity needs to be addressed first.

Remodel work is inspected work. We plan for rough-in and finish stages so trades are not waiting on each other, and so inspections happen at the right point in the schedule.

Typical scope

Circuit planning

Load review, dedicated circuits for appliances, and confirming the panel can support the plan.

Rough-in

Boxes, cable runs, and device locations set before insulation and drywall.

Lighting layout

General, task, and accent layers with controls placed where people reach for them.

Finish work

Devices, fixtures, and covers installed after paint, then tested circuit by circuit.

Coordination

Sequencing with your contractor, cabinet installer, and inspection windows.

Documentation

Clear panel labeling so future work does not start with guesswork.
